To inquire about an animal please feel free to call us, visit the shelter, or use the contact form at the bottom of this page to send us an inquiry via email.

Cats! We're up to our eyeballs in cats! All are available for adoption!

PLEASE NOTE: We have so many cats at the shelter we don't always have all of their pictures up here...please feel free to come in and visit with the cats to see all that are here. They'd love some company!

Dogs Available for Adoption

Piper is an 11 month old Boxer Cross female. She's so weet! Piper is a little timid but loves to be taken out for walks. Piper would do well in a home with older children and without smaller dogs. This girl has a lot of love to give!

Tally is a 3-4 year old German Shepherd with faded black and tan markings. She is super friendly! She's very energetic dog that will do best with an active family. After going out to play she's more than happy to curl up at your feet. Great dog!

Yoda is a Chihuahua mix who likes to be the man of the house! He's got an adorable curly tail. Yoda may be a little wary of people at first but he settles in eventually. Cute guy with a lot of energy and spunk. Yoda looks to be approximately 1 1/2 years old.

Mike is a Hound with quite the nose! He'd be a great shed hunting partner that'd sniff them out a mile away! Needs some work with his manners but he picks up cues super quick. Mike loves to come right up and get some pets from whoever is available! Seems to do well with other dogs so far. He's such a love! Approximately 2 years old.

Kaysie is looking for a forever home! Kaysie is an approx. 1 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. She is a petite little thing with a quirky personality and lots of love to give. A little shy at first, however, once she warms up to you she'll be a great companion dog. Kaysie may lean towards bonding with one person, however, she iwill be friendly with all members of the family. Come take a look at this sweetie!

Lugnut is a very large one year old male Labrador Retriever. He is very friendly but needs some training. He gets a little overexcited sometimes but will make someone a good dog with a little guidance! Lugnut loves to go outside and play with his people. Give this handsome guy a chance!

Leo is a Catahoula/Border Collie mix who is full of energy! He's a little apprehensive with people when he first meets them but if you give him just a minute he warms right up to you! Beautiful coat color and the makings for a super smart dog! He is just under a year from what we can tell.

Chance is an older Jack Russel/Cocker Spaniel mix. Chance will need to go to an experienced dog handler home with no small children and no other animals. Chance gets very defensive under high stress situations. He needs a little work but nobody's perfect! Call to inquire!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The adoption fee is generally $70.00 for cats, $195.00 for dogs, and $295.00 for puppies. The fee may sometimes be a little higher for rare, highly desired valuable breeds, and papered cats and dogs. Included in the adoption fee is a $25.00 voucher good towards spay/neuter unless the animal is already spayed/neutered, all shots EXCEPT rabies which we cannot administer by law, and de-worming if required. The puppy price is higher due to the medications given above PLUS full sets of puppy shots.

Why do we charge a fee? Fees help defray the cost of housing, caring for, and in some cases providing veterinary care required when an animal enters the Center. We depend entirely on fees, grants, donations, and local governmental support to run the shelter. Without fees, we would be unable to house the animal until they can be adopted or transferred to another facility. Our fees are competitive; we charge less than many other shelters in the state and region do, but all do so for the same reason: to keep the shelter running and the animals well cared for. We appreciate any donations! We strive to provide the best care we can for each animal at the shelter. Donations allow us to give them what they require so please donate if possible!

Our animals leave the shelter healthy and ready for their new homes. Of course, their health is mostly out of our control once they leave us. We do follow-up visits in many cases to make sure that everything is going well.
