Why Do I Want a Membership?

Memberships are important for the Blue Mountain Humane Association because when we apply for grantst that support our work, foundations are always interested in numbers -- how much community support we have through donations, what other local groups support our mission, and the number of members of BMHA. Members indicate that there are a group of individuals, businesses, and families that watch over our day-to-day operations; they know that members get the newsletter and keep track of our activities, along with having voting priviledges at our Annual Meeting.

All donations with be given a 12-month membership unless you indicate otherwise. Please note, however, that the membership portion of your donations is not tax deductible. The IRS considers anything that you get in return for a donation (in this case the newsletter) as a gift and thus not money that is useable for a donation.

All memberships are only $12.50 for one year; please consider this option as it is another critical way of supporting our activities. And in return the newsletter provides important information on health & training tips, current activities, and interesting animal stories!
