Fundraising
The Animal Shelter's annual budget of just over $100,000 comes primarily from the Board of Director's fundraising efforts. We receive approximately 40% of our income from 'fees for services' including licensing, adoptions, redemtions and owner surrender donations. The other income is raised directly or indirectly by the Board of Directors.
Our annual fundraising events include:
August 13-15th - La Grande Polo Club Benefit Tournament, to be held at the Polo field on Hwy 30
September - Doggie Dash / Mini Golf
October - Fall Yard Sale at the Old Meeting House
Late November-December - Santa Paws/Christmas Bazaar
December - Tree of Hope (I believe Small Animal Clinic has agreed to have
