Blue, 1.5 Year Old Lab Mix, Male

Blue is a 1.5-year-old Lab mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and endless enthusiasm for life! This handsome 86-pound goofball was surrendered through no fault of his own after his owner experienced medical issues and could no longer keep up with his energy needs.

Blue absolutely loves people and does well with kids, though he sometimes forgets just how big he is and may jump up to hand out hugs and kisses. He’s the same way with adults — if you’re looking for personal space, Blue may not fully understand the concept!

This energetic boy is kennel trained, potty trained, and already knows “sit” and “shake.” He’s still working on his leash manners and can be a strong puller, so he’ll need a family committed to continuing his training and giving him plenty of exercise and structure.

Blue has met other dogs and generally does well, but he prefers not to share his toys and may growl if another dog tries to take them. Because of this, slow introductions and supervision around toys are important.

His absolute favorite thing in the world? FETCH. Blue is a certified fetch addict and would happily chase a ball for hours — just be prepared for lots of slobbery returns!
