Meet Monty, formally known as Monster — a 7-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for life! Weighing in at about 33 pounds, Monty is fully up to date on vaccinations and neutered, so he’s ready to head straight into his forever home.

Monty is the perfect blend of brains and energy. He’s highly motivated by treats and affection, making him a joy to bond with and train. Whether it’s a game of fetch, chewing on his favorite ball, or heading out for a walk, run, or hike, Monty is always up for an adventure. He’d make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys staying active and wants a loyal buddy by their side.

Don’t let his name fool you—Monty is truly a sweetheart. He gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids, and loves being part of the action. While his history with cats is unknown, his friendly and social nature shines through in everything he does.

Monty came to us through the Powder Pals Prison Program, where he got a great foundation and lots of positive interaction. Now, he’s ready for his next chapter with a family who will give him the love, exercise, and companionship he thrives on.
