Django, 1.5 Year old, Pit Mix, Male (CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE)

Django is a 1.5–2 year old, 45 lb brindle pit mix with a heart as big as his adorable smile. After a very rough start in life, (abandoned this past winter in the California Desert), this sweet boy is finally learning what love and safety feel like — and he is thriving.

Django is potty trained, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and great with other dogs once he has a little time to warm up. He currently lives in a foster home in Oregon with both large and small dogs, and has done well around horses.  He has limited exposure to cats (avoided making eye contact with them when he did see them), and he successfully met and played with some older children. He’s naturally gentle and eager to please.

This loyal boy loves hikes, car rides, snuggles, treats, and being close to his people. He walks nicely on leash, has excellent recall, and enjoys outdoor adventures with his foster family. Django can be a tiny bit shy with new people and dogs at first, but once he trusts you, he bonds deeply and will be your devoted best friend.
