Lucy, 3 year old lab
Lucy needs a home with no cats!
Lucy is a 3-year-old chocolate lab that was born on May 8 th . Lucy had an accident falling out of the bed of a pickup two years ago and is now missing her front right leg. Lucy is up to date on her shots with a booster scheduled for early February. She has an ear condition right now undergoing treatment also going to be followed up on in February. As it turns out, Lucy is not good with cats and has a strong prey drive towards them. However, she does very well with other dogs, and you can watch her mimic their behavior. She knows basic commands such as sit, wait – for food, and in – the kennel. She prefers and does better sleeping in the kennel which she has provided as well as a bed. We are still working on easy for treats and lay down. Lucy does not know her limits when it comes to exercise, but you can see when she gets stiff. She is a tad overweight so an adjustment to diet and consistent exercise will help. Finally, Lucy does very good off leash and sticks around the property with the occasional reminder to come back. Lucy has the foundation to be an amazing dog; she just won’t work in a cat household.
Lucy is currently in a foster home, if you are interested in adopting her please submit an application!
