Silly

Silly is a sweet, energetic 3-year-old girl (born on the 4th of July!) with a heart full of love and enthusiasm for life. True to her holiday birthday, she brings fireworks of joy wherever she goes — tail wagging, kisses flying, and excitement in every step.

🌟 Personality & Training

Silly is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. Outside, she’s an explorer who loves long walks, sniffing the breeze, and checking the yard for squirrels and deer. Inside, she transforms into a total couch potato who loves to snuggle and snooze.

She’s smart, eager to please, and already knows sit, shake, and sometimes down, and she can even twirl! She uses a doggy door reliably, doesn’t chew furniture or belongings (though she may sneak off with a slipper now and then!), and does well when left home alone. She rides wonderfully in the car and takes treats gently from your hand.

🐕 Social Skills

Silly is friendly and loves meeting people—maybe a little too much. She gets excited and may jump up to say hello, but she’s improving with practice. She has done well with some dogs, especially one-on-one, but can get overstimulated in groups or around smaller dogs. She is not a good match for homes with cats.

On walks, Silly needs a confident handler; she’s strong and may pull or try to run toward other animals when excited.

Silly would thrive with:

• A person or family who enjoys walks, outdoor time, and keeping an active dog mentally engaged
• Older kids or teens who can comfortably manage her enthusiasm
• A home without cats
• Someone willing to continue basic training and help her channel her energy positively

She has shown that she can bond beautifully: on a trial outing in the woods, she stayed close and kept checking in with her person — even while having the time of her life running free.

💖 Why She’s Looking for a New Home

Silly was originally adopted for a teen who is no longer living in the home, and her current caregiver, with health limitations, cannot safely handle her strength on the leash. Silly is loved deeply, but she needs more exercise and activity than her current home can provide. She deserves a family who can give her all the adventures her joyful spirit craves.
