Squirrel

Born in May 2017, Squirrel is a beautiful German Shepherd–Husky mix with a tender heart and a quiet soul. She came to us from Baker County after surviving a severe neglect case, and because of that, she’s still learning that the world—and people—can be kind.

Squirrel is naturally timid and can be startled by sudden movements, but with patience and calm reassurance, her sweet personality shines through. Once she has time to warm up, she does well with people and shows her gentle, loyal nature.

She enjoys going outside for fresh air, taking in the world at her own pace. Squirrel gets along well with other dogs, especially her sister Ember, and would likely do best in a quiet, understanding home—possibly with another calm dog to help her feel secure.

Squirrel is looking for a patient, compassionate adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her move at her own speed. In return, you’ll gain a deeply loving companion who just needs a chance to feel safe.
